UMS Hosts FGD on the Development of Master’s Level IAPS for LAMDIK
The Study Program Accreditation Instrument (IAPS) for the undergraduate level at LAMDIK has been ratified by BAN-PT through regulation number 10 of 2021. Based on the undergraduate IAPS, the master’s and doctoral level IAPS are being developed. Additionally, LAMDIK is also developing instruments for the Teacher Professional Program (PPG). To develop the master’s and doctoral level IAPS, an FGD (Focus Group Discussion) was held to determine the instruments and descriptors for the master’s level at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS).
The FGD on Determining Indicators and Descriptors for the Master’s Level IAPS was held on the 6th floor of the Siti Walidah Main Building at UMS. The event was opened by the Chairman of LAMDIK, Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani, and the Vice-Rector I for Academic Affairs, Research, Community Service, Publications, and Intellectual Property Rights at UMS, Prof. Dr. Harun Joko Prayitno, M.Hum. The FGD took place over three days, from November 5 to 7, 2021.
In the opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani stated that LAMDIK, along with other LAMs, is still awaiting approval from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. One unresolved issue is related to accreditation fees. Additionally, it was stated that LAMDIK belongs to all of us.
The FGD participants included lecturers from various universities in Indonesia, such as Joko Nurkamto, Ngadiso (UNS), Harun Joko Prayitno, Anam Sutopo (UMS), Sofi Hartati, Erry Utomo, Ivan Hanafi (UNJ), Agus Sutono (UPGRIS), Akhmad Arifi (UIN Yogyakarta), Dase Erwin Juansah (Untirta), Ekohariadi (Unesa), Tommy Yuniawan (Unnes), and Swasono Rahardjo (UM). The output of the event was the indicators and descriptors for the master’s level IAPS, which refer to the undergraduate IAPS ratified by BAN-PT.
The FGD began with a joint discussion of the undergraduate IAPS, followed by group divisions. Each group then determined the instruments and descriptors to be used in the master’s level IAPS. The results of the instrument and descriptor determination were then collected and discussed together. The discussion results were then compiled into the event’s output and will be discussed again in the next FGD.
The FGD event proceeded smoothly with full support from UMS, which provided excellent facilities, infrastructure, and catering. Many thanks to UMS for facilitating this event so well.
