LAMDIK Commits to Assisting the Quality of Educational Study Programs for PTS LLDIKTI Region 1 SUMUT

LAMDIK as a leading and trusted quality assurance institution in the field of education is committed to continuously improving the quality of educational study programs, both educational study programs under the Ministry of Education and Culture and those under the Ministry of Religion, both under the management of PTN/LPTKN and PTS/LPTKS. This step is LAMDIK’s commitment that the process, standards, and culture of quality of educational study programs are very important and necessary as an organ that drives the quality of education. LAMDIK does not only accredit an educational study program. However, LAMDIK always provides guidance and assistance periodically and continuously. Quality standards and processes are the central organs that form the basis of quality culture to improve the quality of educational study programs. Thus explained Prof. Muchlas Samani as the General Chairperson of LAMDIK as conveyed at the Study Program Assistance activity for Improving the Quality of Higher Education and Accreditation Ranking on Friday, February 16, 2024.

The activity which took place at the Growth Center of LLDIKTI Region I North Sumatra was attended by representatives from 274 PTS from LLDIKTI Region I. The activity was carried out in a hybrid manner. Some were present offline at the Growth Center of LLDIK Region I North Sumatra. Some others at the same time participated online via the zoom platform. Each PTS sent 2 representatives, 1 person from the PTS Leadership element and 1 person from the PTS Quality Assurance element.

The event was opened directly by the Head of LLDIK Region I North Sumatra Prof. Saiful Anwar Matondang, Ph.D. Then the activity continued with the main event which began with a general presentation on the importance of quality culture in higher education by the General Chairperson of LAMDIK Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani. And, the event continued with material on the LAMDIK accreditation process by the Secretary of the LAMDIK Development and Evaluation Division Prof. Dr. Ir. Ivan Hanafi, M.Pd., Prof. Dr. Sanusi Hasibuan, M.Kes. and Dr. Yuniarto Mudjisusatyo, M.Pd.

This activity was very interactive, reflective, and dynamic. Participants felt satisfied because they got direct information from LAMDIK policy makers, LAMDIK General Chairperson Prof. Muchlas and from the Development Team of other instruments. This program will be implemented continuously and sustainably, from LLDIKTI I to other LLDIKTI as part of an effort to participate in improving the quality of education study programs towards a world-class education study program reputation.
