LAMDIK Receives INQAAHE Visitation
Surabaya, April 24, 2025 – ACE (The Accreditation Council for Education) received a visitation visit from INQAAHE (International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education) for three days, starting from April 15 to 17, 2025. This activity is one of a series of comprehensive assessment processes for LAMDIK as an external quality assurance agency that is seeking recognition at the international level.

Three representatives from INQAAHE were present in person to conduct the field assessment, namely Maciej Markowski, Angela Yung-chi Hou, and Salwa Elekyabi. All three are figures who have a long track record in the field of accreditation and quality assurance of higher education across countries.
During the visitation process, all levels of LAMDIK were present and actively participated in various scheduled sessions. In addition, the event was also attended by various stakeholders from within the country, including representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), the Education Standards, Curriculum and Assessment Agency (BSKAP), the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI), representatives of universities, professional associations, national and international cooperation partners, LAMDIK assessors and validators, and stakeholders such as the Head of the Education Office, School Owners/Foundations, and School Principals.

This visitation was carried out as a follow-up to the submission of the Self Evaluation Report (SER) which had been sent by ACE to INQAAHE some time earlier. The SER contains a self-evaluation report that reflects the performance, quality assurance system, and accreditation practices that have been carried out by ACE. As part of the assessment process, the visitation activities focused on clarifying the data and information contained in the SER.
All parties present were given the opportunity to provide clarification according to their role and involvement in the accreditation system run by ACE. To maintain the effectiveness and depth of the discussion, the clarification session was divided by topic and related stakeholders. With this approach, the entire content of the SER can be reviewed comprehensively and thoroughly.

This visitation activity has an important meaning for ACE, not only as an external evaluation process, but also as an effort to improve the quality and governance of the institution on an ongoing basis. Through this assessment, ACE obtained strategic input from international experts that can be used as the basis for developing accreditation standards and policies in the future.
Going forward, ACE is committed to continuing to strengthen the integrity of the accreditation system, expanding international networks, and increasing the internal capacity of institutions in facing global challenges in the field of higher education. One of the strategic steps planned is the development of an integrated information technology-based quality assurance system with the principles of transparency and accountability, as well as expanding training programs and capacity building for assessors and other stakeholders.
With a collaborative spirit and openness to evaluation, ACE is optimistic that it can achieve international recognition that will ultimately strengthen its contribution not only in improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia, but also in encouraging the creation of equivalent quality assurance standards at the regional and global levels. Through active involvement in international networks and strategic partnerships across countries, ACE seeks to be part of a global ecosystem that promotes quality, transparency and accountability in higher education, while providing inspiration for other accreditation agencies in various parts of the world.
