FGD on Strengthening LAMDIK Assessors in Surabaya

The Independent Education Accreditation Institute (LAMDIK) held a two-day FGD on Strengthening LAMDIK Assessors in Surabaya, starting on Thursday (12/19/2024). This activity was attended by assessors from various institutions and universities with the aim of strengthening assessor competence in carrying out quality assurance tasks in line with the latest policies implemented by LAMDIK. This event is a strategic forum for sharing insights, aligning understanding, and improving assessors’ abilities in carrying out their roles in ensuring educational quality. In this FGD, participants not only received theoretical material but also practical experience to explore assessment techniques that are relevant to the latest policy developments.

This activity was opened with remarks from Prof. Dr. H. Muchlas Samani, M.Pd. as the General Chairperson of LAMDIK, who in his remarks emphasized the importance of collaboration and improving assessor competence in supporting the quality of higher education. Also present was the Chairperson of LLDIKTI Region VII, Prof. Dr. Dyah Sawitri, S.E., M.M. who also gave a speech by highlighting the role of accreditation in creating superior higher education that is relevant to the needs of the community.

In one of the materials presented by Prof. Dr. Ekohariadi, M.Pd, he explained the right steps that must be taken in implementing the evaluation of the results of the accreditation process. Things such as the implementation of validation of the results of the adequacy assessment based on PERLAMDIK No. 25 of 2022 Article 9 are the main topics discussed in the material. In addition, there is also other material regarding the Development and Evaluation of the OBE-Based Study Program Curriculum presented by Prof. Dr. Wahono Widodo, M.Si. which aims to identify accreditation criteria related to the Study Program curriculum.

In addition to the presentation of the material, this FGD was also designed to be participatory through in-depth discussions and assessment practice simulations. All participants were involved in aligning their understanding and improving their skills in using accreditation instruments according to LAMDIK policies. This activity is expected to strengthen the integrity, transparency, and professionalism of assessors in every accreditation process they carry out.

With the implementation of this FGD, LAMDIK shows its commitment to continue supporting the improvement of the quality of higher education in Indonesia. Through the development of assessor capacity, it is hoped that a more effective and adaptive accreditation ecosystem will be created. LAMDIK is committed to continuing to provide assistance to assessors, so that the implementation of accreditation can run according to the principles of professionalism and national and international standards.
