LAMDIK/ACE ACTIVE IN INQAAHE FORUM 2024 ROMANIA

After LAMDIK/ACE officially became a full member of one of the LAI INQAAHE (International Accreditation Institution: International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) headquartered in Barcelona, ​​Spain on December 13, 2013, ACE began to be active in various forums initiated by INQAAHE. One of them is the INQAAHE Forum 2024 which took place in Bucharet, Romania on June 10-12, 2024. Present from the LAMDIK Delegation were Prof. Muchlas Samani as the General Chairperson of ACE, Director of Accreditation Prof. Aceng Hasani, Director of Resources Prof. Sofia Hartati, and the International Accreditation Division.

ACE was honored to be invited to be one of the participants in the INQAAHE Forum 2024 as a continuation of ACE’s acceptance as a Full Member INQAAHE and INQAAHE Forum 2023 in Bangladesh. This forum is an important part of ACE’s recognition to become one of the internationally reputable LAMs or LAIs. The INQAAHE forum takes the theme “Transforming Society: Social Responsibility through Quality Assurance of Tertiary Education”. A forum theme that is very important in relation to the role and contribution of society to the quality assurance of higher education. In this case, there is a great need for societal transformation and the importance of social responsibility through Quality Assurance of Higher Education throughout the world.

The INQAAHE Forum 2024 was implemented in collaboration between the Romanian Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency (ARACIS) at the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest. The INQAAHE 2024 Forum on the first day together with ARACIS discussed the importance of international quality assurance networks and associations (inqaahe, edqar, engineering, etc.) that can play a strategic role in various international organizations in the field of quality assurance, such as AQU Catalunya, UNIBASQ Spain, FIBAA Germany, HSLU Switzerland, BAC United Kingdom, NEAA Bulgaria, INCQAAA Qatar, UniSQ Australia, ACEN USA, etc.

In the INQAAHE 2024 Forum, it was emphasized that the future quality process and culture need full student involvement as a very important component. This quality assurance challenge will improve LAI’s performance, and have an impact on student trust, quality graduates, which in the end can improve a great economy.

In his speech at the INQAAHE Forum, the Romanian Minister of Education emphasized that the collaboration between ARACIS Romania and the Romanian Ministry of Education which handles quality assurance, conveyed that universities play an important role in involving communities and the need to consider socio-economic and cultural values ​​in the study program environment at local universities will be a unique distinction that is able to enrich the competence of graduates. The Quality Assurance Institution must be able to ensure that no one is left behind or not involved in order to obtain higher education degrees and/or to produce professional teachers in the era of global communication-computing.

While LAMDIK/ACE is in the process of becoming one of the LAIs with an international reputation for quality assurance, LAMDIK/ACE is currently conducting an assessment process on one English Language Education study program at WLU Uzbekistan and two English Language Education and Elementary Education study programs at universities in Timor Leste.
