LAMDIK at the End of 2022

05 Dec, 2022

The Independent Accreditation Institute for Education (LAMDIK) has begun carrying out the accreditation obligations for educational study programs (prodi) at higher education institutions across Indonesia. To date, more than 1,500 prodi have registered online (RO), and 361 of them have received the Accreditation Ranking Decree from LAMDIK.

All accreditation processes that have been ongoing until the end of this year must be documented in a written report so that performance achievements can be mapped in a structured way, allowing for optimal development and evaluation. In addition, the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) programs are also included in the scope of LAMDIK as per PerBAN-PT No. 10 of 2021. As of December 1, 2022, one PPG program had uploaded its accreditation documents to LAMDIK, and therefore, a trial run was necessary to ensure that the work papers for the AK and AL assessments, as well as the SIMALAMDIK system, are functioning smoothly for PPG programs.

In this regard, from December 2-4, 2022, LAMDIK held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Preparation of LAMDIK’s Annual Report and the Trial Run of SIMALAMDIK for PPG. The event was attended by daily management participants, including the Chairman, Directors, Divisions, staff, and two LAMDIK assessors for discussions on PPG program accreditation. The event was conducted in person at the Shangri-La Hotel Surabaya. On December 2, tasks were divided, and discussions were held for the preparation of the Annual Report, led by Prof. Dr. Harun Joko Prayitno, M. Hum., Director of Accreditation at LAMDIK. The Annual Report generally covers governance, quality assurance management, the accreditation process, and financial matters. Separate discussions were also held on the trial assessment of PPG programs by LAMDIK assessors Prof. Dr. H. Muslimin Ibrahim, M.Pd., and Prof. Dr. Kisyani, M.Hum. On December 3, independent work was carried out according to the task assignments until the finalization of the Annual Report. Then, on December 4, the final results of the LAMDIK Annual Report were presented.

During the independent work and discussion sessions, Prof. Dr. H. Muchlas Samani, M.Pd., the Chairman of LAMDIK, approached one of the staff tables and provided encouragement with the following words: “We all have the same 24 hours each day; if we do not make good use of that time, it means we are negligent.”
