LAMDIK Instrument Team Finalizes Book 1, Book 2, Book 3 of LAM Education Instruments
Surakarta, 18 November 2020
BAN PT Regulation Number 9 of 2020 has established the Policy on the Transfer of Study Program Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) to the Independent Accreditation Agency (LAM), including LAMDIK. This is in line with Permendikbud Number 5 of 2020 Article 4 Paragraph 2, which states that Accreditation for Study Programs. Its implementation refers to Article 8 Paragraph (1) The accreditation period for Study Programs conducted by LAM is determined by LAM and Paragraph (2) If the accreditation period determined by LAM as referred to in Paragraph (1) ends, then re-accreditation must be carried out by LAM.
The LAMDIK instruments were developed based on BAN PT Regulation Number 2 of 2017 concerning National Higher Education Accreditation Standards, which state that accreditation instruments must consist of at least 9 standards. These nine standards are translated into 9 criteria for LAMDIK instruments, each developed based on input, management, process, output, and outcome-based education.
The preparation and discussion of the LAMDIK instruments were carried out intensively and continuously with guidance from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Directorate of Institutional Affairs, BAN PT, and in coordination with the LAM Forum that has been formed and approved by the ministry. The finalization discussion of the LAMDIK instruments in this period was held at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (FKIP UMS) on November 17-18, 2020. In this meeting, the finalization focused on Book I about Instruments, Book II about Guidelines, Book III about Assessment, and SIMAK LAMDIK (LAMDIK Accreditation Management Information System), as well as SIAP LAMDIK (LAMDIK Correspondence Administration Information System).
The LAMDIK instruments were developed with the main characteristics and in the perspective of education. The educational characteristics included in LAMDIK are, among others, the importance of including the passion aspect of prospective students during selection, micro-teaching aspects, school field introduction, development of learning tools, teacher assistance, KKN Dik, involvement of lab/partner schools during the process, up to the profile of graduates of prospective teacher students from LPTK.
This instrument draft is planned to be tested on a limited basis involving study program associations and LPTK associations at the end of November 2020. It will be fully tested at the beginning of 2021 and is planned to be fully implemented on May 2, 2021. The implementation of LAMDIK is based on BAN PT Regulation Number 9 of 2020 concerning the Policy on the Transfer of Study Program Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education to LAMDIK.
It is hoped that LAMDIK will improve the quality of governance and development of LPTK study programs in the era of global communication-computation and educational disruption, both at the national and international levels. Greetings @LAMDIK.
