INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION INSTRUMENT FGD: LAMDIK IS READY TO BECOME AN INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION INSTITUTION IN 2024

The Independent Education Accreditation Institution (LAMDIK) or The Accreditation Council for Education (ACE) is finalizing the International Accreditation Instrument (IAI) to fulfill one of the requirements as an International Institution (LAI). The preparation of the IAI ACE involves various teams of experts from various associations and assessors as well as reviewers. To finalize the IAI ACE, the IAI ACE instrument team presented Prof. Chan Basaruddin as Vice President of INQAAHE as well as one of the world-class quality assurance expert teams.

On the occasion of the FGD, the Vice President of INQAAHE, Prof. Chan provided guidelines and standards for quality assurance institutions to be recognized as international quality assurance institutions. Prof. Chan encouraged ACE to be able to take a strategic role as a quality assurance in the field of education at the global level. The requirements include being recognized as a full member of an internationally reputable or supranational accreditation institution, having conducted assessments in study programs at the international level, having an OBE-oriented accreditation instrument, discipline-based, and having an open, integrated, accountable information system, and actively playing a role in international quality assurance conferences.

All the necessary requirements as above have been met almost 85%. There is only one more requirement to conduct an assessment in study programs abroad. This requirement will be met by LAMDIK/ACE to conduct an assessment in 2024, several Education study programs in Uzbekistan, Timor Leste, Bangladesh, and several Education study programs are still in process. The Assessment of Education Study Programs Abroad will begin its socialization in March 2024, followed by the mentoring, submission, review, AK, AL, and determination of the International accreditation ranking stage.
These steps and strategies are a priority for LAMDIK/ACE as LAI in 2024 in line with the vision of LAMDIK/ACE as Leading-Trusted.
