Markany Ganesa IT Indo Partners with ABM: Ready to Assist PDP Implementation in Higher Education

As a professional legal entity and in collaboration with LAMDIK, ABM Quality Education Smart (Asta Bakti Mulia) together with Markany Ganesha Indonesia IT socialize the importance of implementing PDP Law No. 27 of 2022 (Personal Data Protection Act) for Higher Education managers in Jabotabek. This socialization activity was attended by more than 45 Top Management of Information and Data Systems from various Universities in Jabotabek. This activity was held at Prosperity Building SCBD Jakarta on Thursday, February 19, 2025.

The socialization which was packaged in the form of a seminar entitled Academic IT System: The Future of Cybersecurity and Personal Data Protection received a very positive appreciation and welcome from all participants who attended.

Acting as speakers for this activity were Prof. Joh Choi from Ganesha Indonesia IT and Prof. Harun Joko Prayitno from the Director of SI and ACE Cooperation. Both of them said that information systems and data protection are one of the most important factors in modern management in higher education. Especially in relation to SER (Self Evaluation Reports) documentation and including as a source of data for ranking universities.

With the enactment of the PDP Law, a new milestone was recorded in the cybersecurity and privacy regulation sector in Indonesia. Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP Law) has officially come into force on October 17, 2024. The presence of the PDP Law is expected to provide a strong legal umbrella in protecting the privacy of Indonesian citizens, especially in today’s digital era.

The surge in the number of internet users has made the protection of personal data security increasingly important and urgent, among other statements from several participants who attended the activity.

Between ABM and Ganesha Indonesia IT agreed to provide assistance to the PDP of Higher Education Institutions that need it as a manifestation of the implementation of the PDP Law No. 27 of 2022 as well as an adaptation of modern Higher Education management in the era of global computing.@ABM.
