Academic Conference (AAC) organized by the Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB)

To enhance the quality and service of quality assurance and build international networks, on November 2-4, 2023, the Accreditation Council for Education (ACE) attended the Academic Conference (AAC) organized by the Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) in Dakha, Bangladesh. ACE delegates presented their research findings under the title “Predicting Accreditation Status based on Monitored Items: A Study of Undergraduate Study Programs in Indonesia.” The aim of this study is to propose a model based on linear regression for predicting accreditation rankings of undergraduate study programs in Indonesia based on monitored items.

The AAC was attended by various accreditation bodies and quality assurance networks from around the world. As many as fourteen countries were represented through presentations by keynote speakers, plenary speakers, and presenters in parallel sessions. Representing ACE, the following individuals were in attendance: Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani, Chairperson; Prof. Dr. Aceng Hasani, Director of Information and Technology of Accreditation; Prof. Dr. Sofia Hartati, Director of Human Resources and General Administrations; Prof. Pratiwi Retnaningdyah, Ph.D., Head ofr Partnership Division; Prof. Dr. Ekohariadi, Head of Accreditation Division; and Prof. Ivan Hanafi, Ph.D., Secretary for Development and Evaluation Division. During conference sessions, ACE delegates were actively engaged in discussions and fruitful conversations with officials of QA networks such as APQN, INQAAHE, and EQAR, as well as accreditation bodies from Bangladesh, Timor Leste, Sri Lanka, the Phillippines, and Samoa. In addition, Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani had the privilege of presenting tokens of appreciation to APQN and AIUB during the closing ceremony. He hoped that ACE’s participation in APQN conference would increase the visibility in international networks and open up possibilities for future partnerships on quality assurance and accreditation services.
