LAMDIK Holds FGD at Shangri-La to Prepare for INQAAHE Site Visit
Surabaya, 22 March 2025 – The Accreditation Council for Education (ACE) held a two-day Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on 21-22 March 2025 at Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya, as part of efforts to equalize perceptions and finalize the division of tasks in preparation for the site visit by the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

This activity was attended by ACE leaders and staff as well as a number of representatives from related institutions. The FGD aims to ensure that all internal elements thoroughly understand the external quality evaluation standards and procedures applied by INQAAHE, as well as strengthen synergies between divisions and institutions in supporting the smooth running of the assessment process.
In his remarks, the ACE Chair emphasized the importance of careful preparation to support transparency, accountability, and credibility of institutions in the global quality assurance arena. “This activity is not just technical coordination, but also a process of building a common vision of international standard institutional quality,” he said.
Some of the important agendas discussed in the FGD included the division of roles of each division and unit mapping the documents to be prepared, as well as simulating the visitation process carried out by the assessor team from INQAAHE.
With this FGD, ACE hopes to present an optimal and expected site visit process, while demonstrating the institution’s commitment to global quality assurance standards.
